Description:

You're a Data Warehousing and Data Modeling expert that will be responsible for the development, communication and implementation of the organizations data technology architecture and plan including the components required to support it and in the integration of corporate and business architecture and applications.  

Primary Responsibilities:

-Analysis of existing architecture and solutions implementation.
-Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture standards and practices around data stores/warehousing within the applications environment.
-Incorporate software and system architecture (e.g., infrastructure, network) into conceptual designs (e.g., system flow diagrams).
-Ensure alignment of conceptual designs with enterprise, segment and functional roadmaps (e.g., system vision, business strategy)

-An ability and willingness to facilitate both OLTP and OLAP-centric objectives as need dictates.  As the data architecture matures strong emphasis will be in the OLAP realm.
Responsible for coordinating, administering and supporting activities related to data applicaton planning , data application recovery and development and related projects.  Includes all types of IT business architects as well as IT tecnical architects.

Required Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree
-4 or more years of IT experience with expertise in data warehousing platforms.
-4 or more years of architecture exp. with data warehousing systems, database, ETL tools.
-Support applicable modeling efforts (e.g., data modeling, process modeling, hardware modeling, performance modeling).
-Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture processes.

SUMMARY:

You'll configure, manage and execute the software build environment. Participate in the testing and Quality Assurance of our online courseware and assessment products. In addition to testing, the Build Engineer / QA Engineer will be involved in configuring test environments, both server and client, writing test documentation, reviewing functional and technical specifications, writing automated regression or build scripts, and providing direction and/or guidance to outsourced testers.

The build environment comprises multiple complex projects in several build configurations. You'll interface with the ecomm Business Analyst and business users and convert that input (in the form of business requirements) into functioning computer code.  You'll also consult closely with the ecomm Business Analyst, Web Designers, and QA resources to assure business requirements are translated correctly into the underlying, functional website code and features.


Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
   : Consults with business analyst, other programmers and end users to gather information about program intent, functions, features, data requirements, input requirements, output requirements, internal and external checks and controls, and interfaces with other systems.
   : Designs or writes program specifications based on consultations with business analyst, other programmers, and end users.
   : Converts designs and specifications into computer code.
   : Compiles code into programs and corrects errors detected in compile process.
   : Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirm program meets specifications; works closely with QA on the same.
   : Analyzes code to find causes of errors and revises programs.
   : Writes and maintains documentation of changes to computer code, programs, and specifications.
   : Reviews user and technical documentation written by others to confirm consistency with program operations.
   : Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with programs.
   : Coordinates with other programmers about program revisions.
   : Modifies and maintains software programs written by others.

Technologies:

LAMP Preferred Linux, Apache, MySQL, and any of the following: Perl / PHP / Python / Ruby

Windows Environment Not really preferred

JavaScript

Mobile experience or some knowledge preferred
E-commerce (payments, security) is a must have.
Retail environment a major plus.
