INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGER: Minneapolis

This company is a key player in reshaping the wholesale energy industry.  Their software makes wholesale energy more nimble and efficient.  The company is looking for a rock-solid leader that can oversee the Infrastructure and Network environments. 


INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGER

SUMMARY:
Our firm is an entrepreneurial company that is committed to winning.  This requires individuals that are highly accountable and meet commitment dates at all costs. You'll be responsible for areas of resource utilization and management, prioritization, auditing and compliance, uptime for high availability environments, and budgeting. You'll also manage a team of technical resources including a 24/7 support phone for critical real-time systems. Qualified applicants must have a demonstrated ability and knowledge of, networking, systems administration and infrastructure. As required, the individual is expected to be a participant in cross functional teams with business analysts, project management, quality assurance, support, and software development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
   : Resource Utilization/Management
         o Identify project tasks and task dependencies
         o Assign resources to tasks
         o Monitor status to timelines, milestones, and costs
         o Provide status reporting to upper management
         o Develop technical and compliance training plans for team
         o Ensure team adherence to company best practices and standard configurations
   : Prioritization
         o Set clear priorities for the team and review status regularly to ensure tasks are completed   correctly and on time
         o Review requests from outside the department and within the department and properly prioritize project work to align with company goals
   : Auditing and Compliance
         o Work with management to identify and remediate critical auditing areas
         o Oversee annual security and compliance audits working with 3rd party auditor (experience with NIST, CIP, SSAE16 SOC1, SAS70 preferred)
   : Uptime in High Availability Environment
         o Manage 24/7 after-hours support team for critical real-time systems requiring 99.99% uptime (< 4.32 min of unscheduled downtime per month)
         o Provide monthly reporting to upper management and customers on downtime
         o Proactively identify and remediate risks that could cause downtime
   : Budgeting
         o Set annual infrastructure budget with Finance
         o Work with Finance to track infrastructure actuals to budget

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Individual will have 4 direct reports covering the areas of networking, security/audits, system administration, and infrastructure.

EXPERIENCE:
   : Minimum of 15 years of proven hands on technical experience across the areas of Networking, System Administration, Infrastructure, and Security/Compliance (experience with NIST, CIP, SSAE16 SOC1, SAS70 preferred)
   : Minimum of 5 years of hands on experience managing a high availability environment (preferably 99.99% or better)
   : Minimum of 5 years of management experience with strong track record of meeting commitment dates, managing people, and building teams
