DATA ARCHITECT

Description:

You're a Data Warehousing and Data Modeling expert that will be responsible for the development, communication and implementation of the organizations data technology architecture and plan including the components required to support it and in the integration of corporate and business architecture and applications.  

Primary Responsibilities:

-Analysis of existing architecture and solutions implementation.
-Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture standards and practices around data stores/warehousing within the applications environment.
-Incorporate software and system architecture (e.g., infrastructure, network) into conceptual designs (e.g., system flow diagrams).
-Ensure alignment of conceptual designs with enterprise, segment and functional roadmaps (e.g., system vision, business strategy)
-Review conceptual designs to ensure scalability/applicability/quality/comprehensiveness.
-Involvement in the development, communication and implementation of the organization's data technology architecture and applications plan, including the components required to support it and in the integration of corporate and business architectures and applications.
-An ability and willingness to facilitate both OLTP and OLAP-centric objectives as need dictates.  As the data architecture matures strong emphasis will be in the OLAP realm.
Responsible for coordinating, administering and supporting activities related to data applicaton planning , data application recovery and development and related projects.  Includes all types of IT business architects as well as IT tecnical architects.

Required Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree
-4 or more years of IT experience with expertise in data warehousing platforms.
-4 or more years of architecture exp. with data warehousing systems, database, ETL tools.
-Support applicable modeling efforts (e.g., data modeling, process modeling, hardware modeling, performance modeling).
-Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture processes.

Provides strong technical data management, data services and operations within a Technical Client Data Services department or similar.  Provides expert system interaction advice, performs investigations and ensures that Date Services acquire the technical skills necessary to succeed in their responsibilities.  This position also formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact finding to develop or modify complex applications and designs and data systems and provides systems support.

Two years of  SQL experience with an Intermediate to Advanced understanding of SQL as described below:
Intermediate understands complex joins
Advanced is capable of creating stored procedures
Advanced Excel knowledge (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)
QA medical and pharmacy claims including knowledge of HCPCS, CPT, ICD9 Procedures, ICD9 Diagnosis, Revenue and NDC coding.
Create source to target data mapping with transformation rules
Trend health data for accuracy and completeness
Desire to learn the details of the data so you can provide accurate information for user requests.
Communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical people.

Technical Requirements:
Expert level knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS (HTML5, CSS3)
Experience with UI/UX development process (Mockup, Prototype, Design, Testing, Review)
Experience building web interfaces for multiple browsers/platforms (Desktop, Tablet, Mobile)
Experience with design/code reviews and mentoring of peers in design/front end best practices.
Ability to manage large variety of graphical assets for multiple simultaneous projects.

You'll be responsible for implementing the front end design, layout, and functionality for multiple external and internal web applications using the latest web standards. You'll be a core team member throughout the UI/UX development process from conception to implementation. You'll also be working with multiple developers on multiple web applications simultaneously.
