SENIOR / LEAD FULL STACK JAVA DEVELOPER

Primary responsibilities: 
  • Actively participate with project team members to understand functional and system requirements and provide feedback regarding feasibility, risks and constraints
  • Design and develop maintainable code based on functional and system requirements without direct supervision
  • Work closely with project team members to ensure product integrity and quality are maintained and improved
  • Ability to analyze and debug existing systems
  • Understanding of data structures, logic, design method and techniques
  • Participate in the testing process through unit testing and bug fixes
  • Review conceptual designs to ensure scalability/applicability/quality/comprehensiveness
  • Present ideas for system and technology improvements
  • Reviews the work of others
  • Develop solution summary documentation (e.g. conceptual data model, process flows)
  • Ensure alignment of solutions with business and IT goals/objectives

Required Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Java development
  • Good overall programming experience building large scale systems
  • Good grasp of software development lifecycles
  • Good understanding of design patterns, data structures and efficient programming models
  • Good understanding of database table structures and queries
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Good time management/ prioritization/ organizational skills/ handling of unplanned tasks/ ability to meet monthly objectives.
  • Ability to explain complex functionality to non-technical users and staff
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities 
  • Experience with:
    • Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery
    • J2EE (JMS, JNDI)
    • Spring MVC
    • Spring JDBC
    • Web Services (REST, JSON)
    • MS SQL
  • Solid understanding of client deliverables and the ability to take responsibility for them
  • Exceptional English communication skills (both written and verbal) are a must
  • Knowledge of web application security prevention techniques preferred

DATA QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST opportunity: West Metro

Data Quality Assurance Analyst

Your responsibilities include testing of databases and business intelligence (BI) solutions including enterprise data warehouse, reports and dashboards.  Conducts a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that specified standards and end user requirements are met.

* Creates test plans, test cases and test data as per business requirements to thoroughly test logic and verify system flow including integration and regression testing 
* Executes tests according to established plans and scripts, documents problems in an issue log, and retests software corrections to ensure problems are resolved 
* Writes MS SQL queries to test ETL code based on data mapping and requirements provided and performs extensive data analysis to identify defects
* Provides analysis to identify data anomalies 
* Provides status updates and manages customer expectations throughout the lifecycle of the project/change
Quality Control Standards and Procedures
* Recommends and follows QA standards
* Provides support for User Acceptance Testing to resolve issues and questions
* Assists in planning, scheduling and testing initiatives
* Gains business process knowledge to understand possible data scenarios and robust test cases
* Identifies, recommends and implements changes to enhance the effectiveness of quality assurance strategies
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
* Associate's degree in an IT or health care related field
* 4+ years' experience writing and troubleshooting MS SQL Server queries including data warehousing
* 4+ years' experience in Software Quality Assurance on Enterprise Data Warehousing and Reporting projects
* 4+ years' experience with the Microsoft BI Tool Stack, including SSIS and SSRS
* Experience with Team Foundation Server

Preferred:
* Bachelor's degree
* Experience with SSAS
