Sr. SQL APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER (permanent)

**This is a permanent FTE opportunity in Minneapolis

The company offers a unique and cutting edge suite of software products to the wholesale energy industry.  Since the products tie directly into the national energy grid, the business logic is coded in SQL in the backend!  High availability requirements necessitate this approach so the system never needs to come down for software updates.  This role is a dream come true for SQL resources from a creativity and challenge perspective.

Sr. SQL APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER

Developers must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. You must understand and conceptualize applications from both a technical/programming perspective and a business point of view. Because you'll deal with both technical personnel and business managers, as well as participate on project teams, you need strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent programming abilities in MS SQL Server (TSQL) with strong knowledge of stored procedures, indexing, triggers and cursors is essential (knowledge of C#, XML, ASP.net, Java Script, and/or Web Services is a strong plus).


Required Technical Skills:
: TSQL (including stored procedures, indexing, triggers and cursors)
: Sound understanding of software development principles

Other Desirable Skills:
: C#.net
: XML
: ASP.net
: Java Script
: Web Services

EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of proven hands on coding experience in the area of TSQL with in-depth knowledge of stored procedures, indexing, triggers and cursors. Ability to demonstrate effective communication and team leadership skills.
