Sr. J2EE Engineer: permanent

This is a FTE perm position in the Western suburbs.

SR. J2EE ENGINEER

There's an absolutely cutting edge and growing company that's looking for a Sr. J2 resource. What I find most exciting about them is that they're in the medical software industry (medical imaging to be precise) so the product is technology but they also are in a niche that's growing (healthcare) due to baby boomers aging. Long story short it's a combo of bleeding edge technology and is a stable employment environment!

The basics...
We're looking for a full cycle Sr. level J2EE dev. to create software designs and implement. Product based development exp. is helpful but not necessary. They're looking for a strong developer that can look inside source code and know what's making it "tick". A strong, confident presence is very important. Since trouble-shooting and mentoring figures significantly into this position, being able to communicate, convey your ideas, and "hold your own" is necessary.

Regarding technology...
-J2EE
-Spring & Hibernate
-JBoss (or other java app servers).
-web app exp., REST/SOAP web services, batch processing, relational databases.
-OO design exp. and design patterns.
-Windows and Linux dev. exp.

"Icing on the cake"...
-DICOM, HL7, HIS, RIS, PACS, EMR.
-C# or C++ exp.
-JavaScript, ASP.net, AJAX.
