SENIOR WEB DESIGNER

As a member of the eCommerce team you'll be responsible for the front-end design, development, and UX for client ecommerce sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Design and create web site concepts, revised concepts and final html/CSS deliverables to our development team.
-Work with web programmers to develop web site graphics and site structure using industry best practice and standard applications. Must have expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript
-Work closely with Account Management and Ecommerce department to implement web designs based on client requirements and support the corporate website initiatives.
-Responsible for managing own workload, gathering project requirements,
making design decisions, following quality assurance procedures, and
communicating with internal and external clients
-Ability to follow style guidelines and conventions
-Ability to work within existing standards and best practices for eCommerce
-Perform design maintenance and updates to client web sites, templates and widgets as required. Make recommendations to improve functionality and design.
-Ensure quality of all work, including accuracy, functionality and design utilizing current web standards and best practices.
-Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Email Marketing Systems a plus. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
-2 to 5+ years of professional experience, agency or in-house web designer

-Ability to collaborate in a team environment and accept feedback
constructively

-Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO)

-Understanding of Social Media integration (Facebook, Twitter)
-Outstanding organizational skills and a keen attention to details

-Confident and creative approach to problem solving-Understand and, if necessary, troubleshoot third-party HTML and CSS
Issues
-A web design portfolio will be required. 

TECHNOLOGIES: 
-HTML, CSS and UX development
-Expert in cross-browser compatibility (including Firefox, IE 7, 8,
Safari and Chrome)
-Adobe Creative Suite: Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, InDesign, Video programs and Flash. FLEX a plus. 
-Javascript development, AJAX
